Dispatcher - daily route planning (Wichita, KS)

We are growing our team at Bright Lakeside Freight Group and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be daily route planning. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of customer tracking. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
