Dispatcher - daily route planning (San Diego, CA)

Cedar Quarry Environmental Services Associates is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on daily route planning for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 185 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling recycling loads on changes. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
