Dispatcher - daily route planning (Richmond, VA)

Nova Fern Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Richmond with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on daily route planning. You would join a large organisation of about 461 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling service complaints on changes. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of service complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
