Dispatcher - daily route planning (remote)

Fernwood Umber Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on daily route planning for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of claims. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
