Dispatcher - daily route planning (remote)

Cedar Wren Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on daily route planning for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
