Dispatcher - daily route planning (remote)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Yarrow Freight and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be daily route planning. You would join a large organisation of about 578 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of dock schedules. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
