Dispatcher - daily route planning (remote)

Cedar Bridge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Kansas City, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our daily route planning. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
