Dispatcher - daily route planning (Kansas City, MO)

Ironwood Lakeside Freight is a Kansas City logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our daily route planning. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
