Dispatcher - daily route planning (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Orchard Environmental Services is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on daily route planning for fleet maintenance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling fleet maintenance on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of fleet maintenance. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
