Dispatcher - daily route planning (Des Moines, IA)

Stonegate Hollow Freight is a Des Moines logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on daily route planning. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
