Dispatcher - daily route planning (Columbus, OH)

Bright Keystone Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on daily route planning for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 186 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
