Dispatcher - daily route planning (Chicago, IL)

Amberfield Sparrow Environmental Services Group serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Chicago, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our daily route planning. You would join a large organisation of about 273 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling weigh tickets on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of weigh tickets. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
