Dispatcher - daily route planning (Charleston, SC)

Clearpath Quarry Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Charleston. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on daily route planning. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
