Dispatcher - daily route planning (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Northwind Fern Freight and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be daily route planning. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Boston. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of dock schedules. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
