Dispatcher - daily route planning (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Yarrow Environmental Services and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be daily route planning. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling collection routes on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of collection routes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
