Dispatcher - daily route planning (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Quarry Freight and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be daily route planning. You would join a small organisation of about 83 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
