Dispatcher - customer updates (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Quarry Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on customer updates for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 105 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
