Dispatcher - customer updates (Richmond, VA)

Silverline Stone Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Richmond, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would join a small organisation of about 175 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling recycling loads on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of recycling loads. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
