Dispatcher - customer updates (remote)

Ironwood Cedar Inspection Services Group provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Birmingham, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would join a small organisation of about 82 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling field inspections on changes. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of field inspections. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
