Dispatcher - customer updates (remote)

Fernwood Keystone Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Birmingham, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of customer tracking. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
