Dispatcher - customer updates (remote)

Ironwood Forge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of El Paso. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on customer updates. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of dock schedules. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in El Paso. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
