Dispatcher - customer updates (Pittsburgh, PA)

Greenridge Birch Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Pittsburgh, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
