Dispatcher - customer updates (Kansas City, MO)

Bright Lakeside Freight Partners moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Kansas City. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on customer updates. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
