Dispatcher - customer updates (Grand Rapids, MI)

Westbrook Clear Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Grand Rapids, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would join a large organisation of about 757 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of claims. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
