Dispatcher - customer updates (Chicago, IL)

Rivermark Oak Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on customer updates for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
