Dispatcher - customer updates (Charleston, SC)

Harborlight Orchard Freight Associates is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on customer updates for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling proof of delivery on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
