Dispatcher - customer updates (Charleston, SC)

Redstone Quarry Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Charleston with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. You would join a large organisation of about 503 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling collection routes on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of collection routes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
