Dispatcher - customer updates (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Lumen Umber Environmental Services and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be customer updates. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling recycling loads on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of recycling loads. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
