Dispatcher - customer updates (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Drift Inspection Services and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be customer updates. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling equipment calibration on changes. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of equipment calibration. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
