Dispatcher - customer updates (Anchorage, AK)

Redstone Quill Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Anchorage, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our customer updates. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
