Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Spokane, WA)

Summit Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Spokane, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our after-hours coverage. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
