Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (San Diego, CA)

Stonegate Forge Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
