Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Summit Birch Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Baltimore. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling field inspections on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of field inspections. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
