Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Cedar Bridge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Wichita, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our after-hours coverage. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Wichita. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
