Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Fernwood Ashton Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Salt Lake City, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our after-hours coverage. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of claims. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Salt Lake City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
