Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Northwind Orchard Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Reno. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
