Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (remote)

Northwind Union Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Buffalo, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our after-hours coverage. We reward reliability. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of customer tracking. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
