Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Providence, RI)

Rivermark Orchard Freight Group is a Providence logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a small organisation of about 195 people based in Providence. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
