Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Portland, OR)

Amberfield Sparrow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Portland. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in Portland. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
