Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Little Rock, AR)

Summit Mill Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
