Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Hartford, CT)

Silverline Rowan Freight Group is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
