Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Grand Rapids, MI)

Cedar Stone Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Grand Rapids, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our after-hours coverage. You would join a large organisation of about 220 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of claims. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
