Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Detroit, MI)

Summit Lakeside Environmental Services Group is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling landfill records on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
