Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Nova Cedar Farms and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be after-hours coverage. You would join a large organisation of about 258 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling seasonal crews on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of seasonal crews. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
