Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Chicago, IL)

Lumen Forge Freight Group is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on after-hours coverage for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We reward reliability. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling proof of delivery on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of proof of delivery. • Experience with routing software.
