Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Cedar Inspection Services and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be after-hours coverage. You would join a large organisation of about 589 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling field inspections on changes. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of field inspections. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
