Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Charlotte, NC)

Nova Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Charlotte. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
