Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Charleston, SC)

Clearpath Quarry Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Charleston. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would join a large organisation of about 600 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
