Dispatcher - after-hours coverage (Buffalo, NY)

Bluepeak Mill Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Buffalo. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on after-hours coverage. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of claims. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
