Data Analyst - quality and error analysis (San Jose, CA)

Harborlight Haven Insurance Group is an insurance company in San Jose with claims and service teams, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our quality and error analysis. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in underwriting files and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on customer complaints. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
